Please go to the WCHS CALENDAR to see next scheduled clinic date.

In order to reduce pet overpopulation, the WCHS provides a low cost spay and neuter program for fixed income
families. The WCHS does not perform the operation(s). We have formed low-cost contracts with area veterinarians who actually perform the operations. These veterinarians reduce their normal fees, then the Wayne County Humane Society pays half of the reduced fee and you pay half.

Your pet will need to be scheduled and taken to the appropriate vet upon approval. This low-cost service is
made available by membership dues, donations and WCHS fundraisers. If you would like to become a member or donate please visit our Membership page.

The third Saturday of every month (except holidays), the WCHS will take applications and approve families at
the AA&EC (Animal Adoption and Education Center) 1600 Clingman Street, 10 AM – 12 PM. Proof of income is required to qualify for this program   (current pay stubs, Social Security statement, tax return, etc.).
